THE FARM
Series in progress, oil on found wooden furniture.

Cuban artist Mario explores the shaping and representation of Identity through a conceptualized sequel to George Orwell's 'Animal Farm'. He wishes to know the future of the animals featured in this often-cited publication, and as a consequence, how Orwell would write about the here and now. Abandoned pieces of furniture feature images of animals asleep. Traces of travel, home and (un)rest are combined to form fragmented tales of Identity.
